Recently I have a friend who lost her dad and grandmother within a week. I’m not sure if this is an appropriate sympathy card to be sent to her. But in my old Korean culture, we believe that good people go to a heaven after they die and I was trying to capture an image of the heaven […]
I am a big fan of Hero Arts ombré inks – I love using them for backgrounds, color layering stamps and more. Today I have simple monochromatic Thinking Of You cards to give you a closer look at the 4 new ombré pads – Ombré Hydrangea, Ombré Soft Sky To Indigo, Ombré Meadow and Ombré Spring […]
We are so excited to join in the 5th Anniversary celebration for A Blog Named Hero. We are thankful for the passion that they have for Hero Arts and all of the ways that they inspire others to create beautiful projects. There will be many great ideas in today’s blog hop and we are happy […]
I love the variety of inks that Hero Arts offers. It’s so fun to see the transformation of the Color Layering images. Today’s card is a good example of unexpected color combinations. Isn’t the Color Layering Hydrangea stamp set beautiful? The leaves are stamped with Lime Green Shadow Ink and then layered with Green Apple. I was surprised […]
Hello, today I'm sharing a set of colorful cards featuring stamps from the newest Clearly Kelly 3x4 stamp sets. I love the versatility of these stamps - not only are they great sets for decorating scrapbooks and journals, but they are full of fun sentiments that are perfect for cardmakers.
Good morning! Jess here with a card using one of the add-on sets from this month’s My Monthly Hero kit, Produce and Seeds, along with the beautiful Artistic Dahlia wood mount stamp. I colored the Artistic Dahlia using colored pencils and then die-cut it with the coordinating die. I need to remind myself to always […]
Hello there, today I have two cards to share using Bold Prints backgrounds and the Watercolor Dot Palette for some emboss resist. I thought it would be fun to create one more masculine and one more feminine. The Watercolor Dot Palette has little dots of Daniel Smith watercolour paint added to it. I believe the […]
Today I’m sharing a card which features beautiful dies from the 2017 Hero Arts Catalog – the Paper Layering Hummingbird Pair. I used just one of the pair. I die cut the bird, and then colored with my Copic makers. I love the dimension you can get with paper layering dies, in this case by […]
Hi stampers, it’s time for this month’s Awesome Add-ons feature! Before we dive into the projects, here’s a peek at all of the add-on products that we introduced along with the March kit last week — five clear stamp sets (one with coordinating Frame Cuts), one woodblock stamp, and one Paper Layering Die that’s perfect […]
Recently I’m really into coloring with colored pencils. For today’s coloring project, I used the Antique Rose stamp which is a great stamp as it has large petals to color. It also includes some shading so it makes my guess work for shading easier. When you use colored pencils, it’s good to start with light […]
Hi stampers! We’re back to announce the winner from last week’s March My Monthly Hero Blog Hop. A big thank you to everyone who checked out the cards on the designers’ blogs and left lovely comments, as well as to those who ordered this month’s kit! Although the kit has sold out, many fun add-ons […]
I often find that certain stamps I pass over quickly become one of my favorites to use. Such is the case with the Antique Bee and Flowers. I'm not sure if it's just that it's a woodblock stamp, and because I store mine in drawers, they end up being rather "out of sight, out of mind." In any case, when I did take it out to play, I had some fun.
