Today's post introduces the latest challenge from our friends over at A Blog Named Hero. We are so thankful for the support they give us, and the amazing creations the team creates. If you're looking for a fun challenge to play along with, check them out! Today team member, Teri, is sharing a project for their July challenge and it is so fun!
It’s Teri here sharing this month’s challenge – repetition!
I love rainbows. This card was so much fun to combine a rainbow of colors for a thank you card!
I started with an A2 sized piece of white cardstock and began stamping away moving the cardstock up and over ¼ inch at a time to create the background. I could not be without my Misti! I continued this pattern both up and over and down and over until the entire background was covered!.
I chose the sentiment strip from the Happy Thanks Stamp & Cut XL set. I started stamping near the center of both the Misti and the card base. Reactive Ink colors used are: Grape Slush, Blue Hawaii, Pool Party, Green Apple, Lemon Drop, Creamsicle and Berry Smoothie. What a wonderful rainbow of sentiments created!
I wanted to layer the "thanks" die from the set with matching color cardstock. To accomplish this, I colored strips of white cardstock using the Reactive ink pads direct to the cardstock.
Once all the strips were colored, I die cut the word from the colored strips.
Check out how cool the "thanks" sentiment layered with the colors in rainbow order, each layered slightly to the left and up! I trimmed down the sentiment background to allow a frame of teal paper to show, accenting the top layer of the sentiment!
Finally, a rainbow card deserves bling! These confetti sequins gave the perfect sparkle to the card.
Please join us this month over on A Blog Named Hero and enter your cards in the challenge! Hero Arts sponsors gift cards for the winner!
