Saturdays with Sally: To the Beach!
Let’s make some cards today for our current Stay Crafty with Hero challenge theme - FOR THE GUYS! I thought the Seashells Fancy Dies would work great with some neutral colors.
Start with a Sand note card. Stencil part of the inside card with the Water Flow Slimline Stencil using an Ink Blending Brush and Soft Brown ink. Make it as dark as you wish. Next die cut several shells from neutral colors. I used Pebble and Antique Ivory cardstocks as well as brown thin cardboard and shimmery gold from my paper stash. Cut off about an inch on the right side of the front of the note card to expose the stenciled design. Foam mount the shells in a pleasing manner. Add your choice of greeting from the Message Strips Stamp & Cut XL set, stamped with Cup O' Joe ink.
Sitting next to me was the negative cut out and I thought I could easily make that into a card and not waste it! All I did was stamp a greeting and trim it to fit on a piece of Sand cardstock. Two cards for the price of one! Now, let’s go mail those cards and head to the beach!

Great cards, I love those shell dies. It’s always great when you can get two for one cards. Thanks for the inspiration.

Sally, I was able to correct the problem with the die metal pieces. Hubby gave me his wire cutters to use that removed the tiny metal pieces that were leaving noticeable impressions in the cardstock. I finished the card and am posting it on my blog.

Wonderful idea. Your card on left brings up a question I have. When I placed the shell die cuts and ran thru my die cut machine there are noticeable tiny pin picks from where the remnant of metal was not entirely clipped off so my question is how do I get that last bit of metal clipped so the pin prick holes will not be there?
