Rainbow Inspiration from an Unexpected Place
Hi there! Emily Midgett here with you today sharing some rainbow inspiration featuring some of the latest products from the August 2021 release! I will admit that I am one of the few crafters who finds it difficult to create with rainbows. I think they're beautiful, and I adore what other people create with them, but (like critters) they're a little outside my wheelhouse, creatively-speaking. I went searching on Pinterest for some inspiration for today's blog post, and found the most adorable children's nightgown with a pale pink background and bright, vibrant rainbows. The new Rainbow Infinity Dies were perfect to create this background. Let's get started with the details!
I began by die cutting the new Rainbow Infinity Dies from Coral, Papaya, Canary, Kiwi, and Lapis cardstock, with the clouds cut from Dove White cardstock. I added some strong adhesive to the back of the cloud, then arranged the different layers of the rainbows. Having them adhered to the back of the clouds helps to create one die cut piece, easy for arranging on the card front!
I trimmed down a panel of Peony cardstock to A2 size, then arranged the die cut rainbows on the card front. I adhered them to the card front with foam adhesive, trimming some edges off to create a continuous pattern.
I added a greeting from the Color Me Words stamp set, stamped on some strips of white cardstock using Intens-ified Black ink and popped up with more foam adhesive. So much dimension and color on this project!
Well, that's all for my project today! Thanks so much for reading, and have a marvelous day!
