May My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway

Nichol Spohr

It's time for our final countdown peek before the release of the May My Monthly Hero kit! The kit will be available tomorrow, Monday, May 6 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Now let’s join Nichol, who is sharing another look at this fun kit!

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a crafting happiness card inspired by a couple of quilting/sewing projects I've made multiple times. I adore the look of rainbow colored pencils so I stamped, colored, and die cut many, many colored pencils using an image from the May main kit and created a double border along the bottom of my card!

The background of the card was stamped on a white card background with the add-on Crafting Tools Bold Prints using Soft Granite Ink. Sentiments from the main kit were stamped along the top half of the card using Black Ink.

The colored pencil image from the main kit was stamped 40 times on Bristol Smooth cardstock, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, die cut, layered, and adhered along the bottom edge of the background with foam adhesive. The foam adhesive give the border a bit of dimension from the busy background.

Hearts from the main kit were stamped on Bristol Smooth cardstock, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, die cut and adhered above the sentiment as shown. The hearts were finished with Crystal Lacquer for a bit of glossy shine!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, May 6, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Nichol, you make the most fun and inspire with repetition. I am thinking how fun it would be to just go down a row of markers, Artezas or Zigs to make multiple pencil rainbows.

Nichol this is stunning, 40 Pencils!! That’s 40 times stamping, 40 times colouring, 40 times die cut and 40 times to adhere, so in the end you hold 160 times a pencil in your hands for this stunning card, wow!!! Thank you for all the time and effort you put in this card to show us inspiration for the awesome new kit to come.
