Bamboo Bold Prints and Butterflies

Hi, Happy Friday! What are your favorite stamping supplies? Do you have certain products that you use in your card designs as often as possible? Today, I’m sharing a card that I made with two of my favorite stamping products – Bold Prints background stamps and Ombre Ink pads.

To make my card, I started by stamping the beautiful, new Bamboo Bold Prints background stamp onto a panel of celadon layering paper with Ombre Lime to Forever Green ink. The leafy bamboo shoots make a pretty nature background for many styles of cards. When I inked the large stamp with the ombre ink pad, I inked across the stamp’s center first. Then, lifting the opposite side of the ink pad, I inked the upper half of the stamp with Lime Green ink and the lower half of the stamp with Forever Green ink.

Next, I wrapped the left side of the panel with a strip of vellum and then secured the panel to a celadon card base with foam tape. I embossed three butterflies from the Origami Animals set onto poppy, pine, and aubergine layering papers and then I used the coordinating Origami Animals Frame Cuts to cut around each image. I secured the die cut butterflies to the vellum with foam tape.

To finish the card, I added a lovely script sentiment from the Color Layering Water Lilies set that I embossed onto a narrow strip of cardstock. I also scattered a few Ombre Green Sequins across the card for a little bit of shine.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope that you have a great weekend and I hope that you also find some time to enjoy some of your favorite stamping supplies soon!
