Video: A Bit Of Kindness Emboss Resist Background
Hello there, Michelle here and I have a fun kindness card to share with you today. I am using the A Bit Of Kindness Fancy Die as my main focal point, along with the Heart Pattern Bold Prints to create a fun background.
I started off by stamping the Heart Pattern Bold Prints on to a piece of watercolor paper using Versamark Ink. I applied Clear Embossing Powder and then heat set. Once all the embossing powder had melted and cooled, I applied watercolour paint to the panel with a paint brush and water. The paint resists the embossing powder but like I mention in the video, I used staining colours of paint today, so the embossing powder didn’t remain completely white/clear but I still like the look.
The panel was cut down using the second to largest of the Rectangle Infinity Dies and added to a white A2 card base with tape runner. I took the A Bit Of Kindness Fancy Die and cut this three times from white cardstock. These were then layered up using glue pen. I die-cut a piece of vellum using one of the Oval Infinity Dies and then added the kindness die cut on top. The oval was then adhered to the card with more glue (being careful to only apply glue behind the die cut wording). I finished off with a few Clear Gemstones.
You can see how I made the card in the video here:
