Vintage Inspired Holiday Assortment Stencil
Natasha Vacca
Hello Hero Arts friends, it is Creative Team member Natasha Vacca on the blog today! Today I am sharing ideas on how to create a vintage-themed card using holiday products. For today's project I started with the Holiday Assortment Stencil as my inspiration. So let's get started!

I started by prepping a piece of Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock with my antic static powder tool. Next I stamped the Words of Peace Bold Prints onto the background using Embossing and Watermark Ink. Then I sprinkled on Gold Embossing Powder and heat set with my embossing tool. Once the background was heat set, I placed the Holiday Assortment Stencil over the panel and started to ink blend using a variety of Core Inks (Arctic, Paradise, Moss, Field Greens, Sand, and Espresso. I marked off the images using post it notes and ink blended using a Small Ink Blending Brush. Once the ink blending was complete I darkened the edges of my panel using Espresso and Pitch Black Core Inks.

Next I worked on the die cutting for my card. I started by die cutting vellum with the Pointed Arches Infinity Dies. Next I die cut several snowflakes from the Snowflake Pattern Cover Plate using Arctic Cardstock. I also die cut a 2 and 5 from Arctic cardstock using the Number Two and Number Five Fancy Dies. I die cut 3 of each number and adhered the layers together using Precision Glue. Next I added texture to the snowflakes and the numbers using Brass Embossing Powder and Iridescent Green Embossing Powder. I used Embossing and Watermark Ink. for each of the pieces, then applied the embossing powder one color at a time. I use a small paintbrush to remove some powder before heat setting which allows me to get a mix of color.

To complete my card I adhered the panel onto a Top Folding Card. Then added some splatter using White Acrylic Spray and a paint brush. I then adhered all the layers together using a combination of liquid glue, as well as foam tape. I stamped a sentiment using Intensified Black Ink onto Arctic Cardstock from the Winter Town Cheer stamp set.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I will be back soon!
