Hi friends. Kailash here sharing a card using stencils and adding dimension to one of the images. I'm featuring the October Layering Stencils of the Month (Flourishy Christmas Tree). This set includes four stencils and has an intricate and detailed design, but also a beautiful Christmas tree focal point, which I decided to showcase by adding some dimension.

Let me show you how:

I started by placing stencil #1 on a panel of Dove White Cardstock, using a Medium Blending Brush I added Aegean Core Ink for the entire design.

For the tree portion of this stencil, I added Green Hills Core Ink. Then I blended the same stencil, but just the tree image, on another piece of Dove White Cardstock. I set aside this piece until I used stencil #4.

On stencil #2 I blended Ultra Pink Core Ink and on stencil #3 I blended Bermuda Core Ink. On the piece that I set aside with the tree image, I blended Moss Core Ink through the stencil.

On the last layer, stencil #4, I used Cherry Core Ink, blending and getting good coverage on the entire design.

With all the ink layering done on that panel, I set it aside.

Now for the fun part! Remember the tree image which I blended separately? I fussy cut the tree to be able to add some extra dimension to my card. Most layering stencils have one complete and cohesive design where an image does not show itself but this set allowed me to showcase the tree.

To add some extra interest to the card I placed stencil #4 on the ink blended panel again and added Glitter Hero Paste. This last step added some shine and subtle texture to the card.

I then added foam tape and adhered the tree that I fussy cut to the ink blended panel.

The sentiment from the October Clear Set + Dies of the Month (Holiday Messages) was stamped on Cherry Cardstock with Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink, and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. Die cut the sentiment with the coordinating dies and adhere using Precision Glue.

I created a scallop border from Cherry Cardstock using the large die in the Scalloped Rectangles Infinity Dies and adhered my stenciled panel to this piece.

Lastly I added a bow from the October Fancy Dies of the Month with a gem in the center and White Hero Pearls to the tree.

Thank you for stopping by.
