Thank You Mariana Grigsby
We have been so grateful to have Mariana Grigsby as part of the Hero Arts Creative Team for over two years. She has inspired us all with her creativity. Sadly, she will no longer be part of the team in 2017. We asked other members of the team to share one of their favorite projects of Mariana’s…
First from Jayne Nelson:
Jayne said: “When I think of Mariana, I immediately think…Hero Arts Rock Star, Card Maker Extraordinaire! I’m such a fan of her beautiful and creative work, so I was thrilled with the opportunity to work alongside her. Not only is Mariana exceedingly talented, but she is equally generous and kind. I’m constantly inspired by her innovative ideas. And although I sincerely love every project that she has shared, I’ve always been partial to this lovely, vintage-style thank you card. It’s simply sublime! We’ll miss you, Best wishes, Mariana – Rock On!”
Yana Smakula had a favorite card and a few well wishes to offer as well:
Yana said: “It has been not only a pleasure, but also an honour to be on this team with Mariana. She has such a tremendous talent for cardmaking and she never ceases to amaze me with her projects. I’ve always loved the way she uses color and composition to create her cards. The sentiment on this card says – Anything is Possible and whatever her future path may be, I want to say – Anything Is Possible. Mariana, it’s been great having you on this team. You will be missed!”
Amy Tsuruta chose a beautiful holiday card:
Amy said: “I’m such a fan of Mariana’s work. I’ve been following her for quite a bit. All of her projects are simply wonderful but this one makes me smile. It’s so full of life, color and happiness. Wishing Mariana the best and will continue to follow her journey, she’s such an inspiration.”
Clare Prezzia had a hard time choosing a favorite (OK, all of our designers did!) but she chose this one:
Clare said: “I remember always being astounded by Mariana’s work, way back when I was just beginning to learn about the Hero Arts Flickr community – her cards always shone out! I think this is one of my (many) favorite cards, because I just love the soft watercoloring, the pretty stitching, the colors – every little detail makes it beautiful. Wishing Mariana the best on her next endeavors!!”
And lastly, Libby Hickson had a favorite too:
Libby said: “It has been such a pleasure to work with Mariana on the Hero Arts Creative Team. She’s always been so willing to take on challenges and to try new things. I chose this card, not only because it’s gorgeous – but also because it is an example of Mariana trying something different – this time using a stencil, spackling and gelatos to create that background. I also chose this card because the message is very fitting for Mariana! I sure will miss working with her.”
From the entire Hero Arts team, Mariana, thank you! And best wishes to you going forward.
