Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #3

Hi friends! We're introducing our next Stay Crafty Challenge a day early this week, as tomorrow we'll be starting our countdown for the April My Monthly Hero kit. Yay! We started this challenge two weeks ago as a way to inspire you to sit down and create. Making cards and sharing them with others is a great distraction during these crazy, unprecedented times. And... since most of us are spending a lot more time inside our homes than we had been before, this thought inspired this week's challenge theme - "Home Inspiration." We'd like to challenge you to create a card or project inspired by something inside your home!

Keep scrolling for more information about entering our challenge. But first, Libby is here sharing a card inspired by something inside her home!

For my card today, I pulled out the gorgeous Ornate Floral Stencil. Using this stencil, I inked a panel of Dove White cardstock with Thistle and Splash Reactive inks. I added the most Thistle ink in the center of the stencil, then used a lighter touch as I moved out. I then blended in from the outer edge using Splash ink.

I added this message from the Zen Messages stamp set, embossed in silver. The message is something I've been having to remind myself to do lately! To finish the card I added clear enamel dots.

Here's a look at the wall hanging in my living room that inspired this card. The pattern isn't exactly the same, but it definitely made me think of this stencil!

Now it's your turn - we'd absolutely love for you to join us! We want to encourage you to actually sit down and enjoy the process of creating. We know it is a source of fun, relaxation and stress relief - something we all can use a bit more of right now. Create a new card for this challenge with the theme of HOME INSPIRATION. Use the Inlinkz tool at the bottom of this post to link up your card, and you will be entered into our drawing. We will be giving a $35 gift certificate randomly to one person who plays along! To link up your project, you need to share it publicly somewhere that you can grab the link - this can be your blog, Instagram, a Flickr account - anything that allows you to have a URL or website location to link up.

We, of course, encourage you to use your favorite Hero Arts products. But any and all entries are eligible for consideration. We really care most about you bringing a little inky joy into your life. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, April 8 at 11:59pm PT to be eligible for the giveaway, and the winner will be announced when we announce our next challenge next Friday. Scroll down below the product thumbnails to find the linkup!

And if you share your project on social media, we'd love if you'd use the #staycraftywithhero hashtag.

Thanks to everyone who played along with our Never-Seen-Ink challenge this past week! Our random winner is Erin T (IG: @homemadecardsbyerin), who inked up stamps from one of my favorite retired stamp sets, Dare to Dream, to make this great card.

Congratulations Erin! Email us at info@heroarts.com with "Stay Crafty Challenge Winner" in the subject to claim your prize.

Here's to connection, creativity, inspiration, and kindness. ❤

I don’t have a blog to link to. Can I still join the party somehow?

I don’t think your challenge " Create a new card for this challenge with the theme of HOME INSPIRATION" shows up enough because I see out of the first five entries, #4 is the only one to show she went with the challenge. I had to really hunt to realize that “Home Inspiration” was the challenge. Maybe a holder print just for the challenge or NOT making it part of the paragraph would help.

I DO love that you are inspiring all of us to take the time to take care of our crafty selves.

Yeah, seriously one of the highlights of my week!!! Sending virtual hugs from California and thank you for the creative inspiration.
