Welcome, friends! This is Mindy, and I’m excited to be back on the Hero Arts YouTube channel and blog with some inspiration using the My Monthly Super Hero Kit for October 2026.
This month definitely has a fall vibe, with the kit filled with seed packets, dried corn, sunflowers, wheelbarrow elements, pumpkins, and more. While I’m using a mix of these products on my card today, the card design itself is pretty clean and simple.

Die Cutting the Pumpkins & Rustic Seed Packet
I started by die cutting my elements, including the pumpkins, stems, and leaves, from the cardstock included in the kit. For the pumpkins, I used two different shades of cardstock. This is such an easy way to add a little dimension and shading without adding any extra steps.
For the seed packet, I wanted it to have a slightly rustic, distressed look. I die cut the packet from the Fawn cardstock included in the kit, then chose an ink color that was just a shade darker than the cardstock. I lightly dragged the ink pad across the edges of the seed packet to create that worn, rustic appearance.
Next, I added the thin frame to the center of the seed packet, which I die cut from Sicily cardstock.
Before I start adhering everything, I like to lay out my pieces so I can get an idea of the final arrangement. For the sentiment, I stamped one from the Grateful & Thankful stamp set onto white cardstock using black ink and cut it out with the coordinating die.
Adding the Little Fall Details
Once I was happy with the placement, I started assembling everything. I tucked in some of the small vines and leaves from the wheelbarrow set around the pumpkins and sentiment. I also added the little flag toward the top with the tiny heart. It reminds me of the spot where you might find the price on an actual seed packet, which I thought was a fun little detail.
To finish off the seed packet, I attached the closure flap to the top. You could easily take this idea one step further and turn the packet into an interactive element with a slider piece that pulls out from the top for a handwritten note or hidden message.
For the background, I used Bellini cardstock along with the Nurture Daily stamp set. I chose an ink color just a shade darker than the cardstock and, using an acrylic block, randomly stamped the vines around the outer edges of the panel.
I didn’t need to cover the entire background since most of it would eventually be hidden behind the seed packet. Adding the vines just around the areas that would remain visible gives the background a little extra interest without taking away from the clean and simple design.
Bringing the Fall Card Together
To finish the card, I attached the completed seed packet to the front using foam squares for a little dimension.
I love how all of these small fall elements come together while still keeping the overall card design clean and simple. The seed packet makes such a fun focal point, and there are so many ways you could change up the colors and little details to create your own version.
Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope this inspires you to pull out your October My Monthly Super Hero Kit and create something with a cozy fall feel. Be sure to check out the video to see the entire card come together.
