Flying By To Say Hi!

Welcome back everyone! This is Mindy here with you today to share a clean and simple card using the fun new You Lift Me Up stamp set from Hero Arts.

There are lots of great scene building elements included in this set with fun geometric patterns. I had my heart set on the hot air balloon and clouds the second I saw it! To draw attention more to the geometric designs and patterns on the images, I'm going to keep the card very simple.

I do this by starting with a piece of Lapis Cardstock cut to 3 3/4" x 5" for my sky. Using a piece of Dove White Cardstock cut to the same size, I'm going to die cut the Cloudy Sky Scene Fancy Die and add it around the edges of my sky.

To vary the color of the hot air balloon, I stamp it in Ombré Mermaid Ink Pad and use the Soft Pool ink for the clouds. These clouds have such a fun dot pattern to them.

Once I know the arrangement of my images, I'm going to stamp a sentiment using Intensified Black ink before I adhere anything down.

After stamping the sentiment, I'll then add my images. The clouds are added with a tape runner and the hot air balloon is added with foam tape.

Now that everything is stamped and glued down, I'll trim off any excess and add to a Dove White panel cut an 1/8" bigger just so it has a fine white border around the scene.

I wanted just a little more dimension to my clean and simple card, so I'm going to add foam tape behind my panel and add to a card base created from Nautical Cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed this clean and simple design using these geometric images from You Lift Me Up. Thanks for spending time with me and have a fabulous day!

The cloudy scene frames the hot air balloon wonderfully. Have the Lift Me Up and some cloud dies so I will give this a try.
