Hi there, Bibi Cameron here and today I’m sharing three super easy projects using some of the new stamp sets from the new Watercolor Florals release. I hope you like them!
I also added a background panel made out of white smooth cardstock and I die cut this panel using the larger dotty die from Essential Rectangles dies to add a decorative die-cut edge. Then, I glued a lilac cardstock piece behind it so that you can see the lilac colour popping through the little die-cut holes. To finish this card, I simply glued all the panels together and adhered it to a card base.
Watercolor Florals Slimline Card
This card measure 4”x 9” inches and it is easy and quick. I enjoyed using clear blocks to stamp the bold images from the Layered Wildflowers Stamp Set on smooth cardstock using Different Distress Oxide ink colours. By the way, I didn’t think too much about the right way to stamp the florals. I just allowed myself to play with the bold images. To add a little bit of sparkle, I applied liquid glue over the centre of the flowers and I sprinkled gold glitter embossing powder and I heated it up. I also used Clear Glaze over the little yellow flowers stamped at the bottom of the card so that they look glossy. The sentiment "Even the Tiniest of Flowers Can Have the Toughest Roots" is from Wildflower Sentiments Stamp Set.Watercolor Florals Clean and Simple Card
This is a C6 card (It measures 4-1/4 x 5-1/2” inches). To make it, I first applied Distress Oxide inks (Blueprint Sketch Oxide + Wilted Violet) over the background using a blending brush. Then, I splattered the paper using water to create white speckles. Once the panel was dry, I die cut it using a solid rectangle die from Essential Rectangles Etched Dies. Next, I stamped the flowers from Floral Beauties Stamp Set and the sentiment from Wildflower Sentiments Stamp Set using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. To add colour to the flowers, I used a purple Nuvo Glitter marker (water-based) and a slightly wet water brush to spread the shimmery ink over the images. As I used smooth cardstock, I used very little water.Watercolor Florals Monochromatic Box and Mini Cards
I had the idea to create a monochromatic project that requires stamping only. This box measures 5” x 2-3/8” inches and it is 3” inches tall and I used FSJ Scoring board to make it. I used 2 pieces of cardstock:- For the box body, I used an 8- 1/2” x 11 -1/4” inches white piece of cardstock. Then, I scored it at 3” inches around the corners.
- To make the box lid, I used a 4-1/2” x 7 -3/8” inches black piece of cardstock. Then I scored at 1” around the edges.
