Hi folks, Kavya from @handmadebykavya is here with some fun inspiration for Tina Smith’s new collection - Window with a View.
I love playing with dies, especially ones that can be used in multiple ways. You will find that the collection is versatile as well! I have three cards for you today, all inspired by some views I remember from my adventurous travels.
I then used Portobello, Alabaster, and Lagoon cardstock to die cut the window frame from Vista View Window die set. I ink-blended the Lagoon cardstock with Chipped Sapphire distress oxide ink at the top. I created some sheer curtains using a wave die from Coastal Escape View die set. For the plants, I used The Botanical Solarium die set with Velvet Rose, Fruit Punch, Pink Sand, and Purple Mist cardstock. I created the tree branches using the tree and branch die from Backyard Haven View die set and Latte, Fern, and Rainforest cardstock. The flowers were cut using Pink Sand and Purple Mist cardstock. To add more dimension, I always ink blend the edges of the die cuts with coordinating distress oxide ink and some highlights using a white gel pen. Feel free to use any color that you have around. I added a sentiment from Sending Sunshine Sentiments heat embossed on Sage cardstock and I was done!
For the clouds, I used Glacier and Snowdrift cardstock and for the sun, I used Chamomile and Tuscan cardstock. The palm trees were cut from Fern, Dune and Rainforest cardstock, and the sea and land from Waterfall and Alabaster cardstock. I added a sentiment from Sending Sunshine Sentiments heat embossed on Dahlia cardstock and I was done!
Then, I create the potholes using Alabaster and Chamomile cardstock. For the fishes, I used Purple Mist, Royal Amethyst and Fruit Punch cardstock. For the coral, I just used leftover cardstock from the other projects. This is the perfect opportunity to recycle some of those scraps! For the anchor, I used some twine with Sage cardstock. I added a sentiment from Sending Sunshine Sentiments heat embossed on Lagoon cardstock and I was done!
That’s it! I hope you like all these projects! Can’t wait to see what you all make.
Happy Crafting,
Kavya
