Folk Art Collection by
Lene Lok.
This entire collection is so beautiful and easily adds so much elegance to a card. The large designs make it the perfect die to create quick and easy cards!
I love to ink blend. So when I see such intricacies in a design, my goal is to find ways to compliment it and let it shine. I first die cut a few pieces of the
Rosemal Flowers Dies out of white card stock and played around the layout a bit. What I eventually settled on was to have it diagonally across the card, with just little bit of the edges cut off the card.
With that layout in mind, I blended Faded Jeans And Broken China distress oxide inks in the direction that I had my dies laid out. I blended the Faded Jeans from the top right and bottom left corners inward, then filled in the rest with Broken China.
Using white acrylic paint, I added splatter over the background. Then I sprayed adhesive onto my
Rosemal Flowers and adhered them directly onto the background.
And finally, die cut a place to hold my sentiment out of white cardstock using the
Labels Thirty-Six dies. I gently blended the edges with Broken China to give it light blue border, and then heat embossed ‘thank you’ from Papertrey Ink Penned Elegance stamp set in silver.
When adhering my sentiment to the card with foam tape, I also sandwiched in some Silver EMC thread just to add a touch more silver into the design.
