Join Josie in the Creative Classroom as she creates a beautiful rainbow background with the
Color Block Slices Dies
.
The
Color Block Slices Dies
come with two long triangle shaped dies to make sun rays, star bursts, and zigzag patterned backgrounds. These two dies take all the measuring and guesswork out of creating a similar background with a paper trimmer.
Today Josie's cute card features a white space between each colorful slice and she has a great trick to achieve an even spacing. She begins her rainbow background with one slice positioned from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. Then she uses a strip of cardstock, a little less than a quarter inch as a spacer to help achieve a consistent white space. Simply line up that strip directly next to the first Color Block Slice, and use a tiny piece of washi tape to hold it in place. Then set down the next slice on the other side. Once its adhered, remove the spacer. Repeat the process, using the same spacer, until the whole card is full of perfectly placed rainbow slices.
