Hi crafty friends! It's Jeannie and today, I'm excited to share a new video with you focusing on the Geometric Holiday Stencil for two fun holiday cards.

(If you are having trouble viewing this video, please watch here on YouTube.)

To create my first card, I used a piece of Luxe White Watercolor Paper and then placed the Geometric Holiday Stencil on top. I wanted to ink this stencil up really quickly and the easiest way to do that was ink swiping! I used four Hero Hues Reactive Glitz colors: French Pink, Spanish Orange, Naples Yellow, and Byzantine Green. I went lightest colors first and just inked up the areas of the stencils. These ink pads are juicy!

For the second card, I removed the Geometric Holiday Stencil with all the ink on it and I didn't clean it up! Instead, I spritzed it with water since these inks are water reactive. Then, I carefully placed a new piece of  Luxe White Watercolor Paper on top and used my hands to rub the paper so the ink would be absorbed. You just have to be very careful lifting the paper off the stencil but those colors will transfer to your paper!

To add a little something extra to both of these backgrounds, I used Onyx pigment ink with water to add splatter. It's an easy way to add some extra texture and when it dries down, it's very subtle but I love it.

For the sentiments, I used the Offset Holiday Messages stamp set to stamp with Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink on Pitch Black cardstock, then heat embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder. I matted both card panels on Pitch Black cardstock and added sentiments to finish off the cards.

Thank you for joining me here today and I hope you enjoyed both of these cards and the accompanying video. Which do you like more? Will you try this out?
