VIDEO: Easy Eclipse Card with Subtle Detail
Jeannie Lieu
Hi crafty friends! It's Jeannie and today, I'm excited to share a new video with you focusing on the a few items from the new Charming Easter collection. Spring is coming and this card is bright and fun.
To create this card, I started off using the Asana Pattern Stencil with an array of Hero Hues Core Ink colors: Spicy Mustard, Ultra Pink, Moss, and Indigo. Using the Hero Arts Blending Brushes, I was able to easily ink blend in a diagonal direction overlapping the colors slightly. The inks blend together so nicely!

Next, I die cut one of the Egg Infinity dies out of vellum. To be honest, I thought this would stand out a little more for subtle detail but it gets a bit lost in the colors.

I am using the Happy Easter XL dies to cut through the vellum egg and stenciled pattern card panel. I wanted to cut the stenciled background using the shadow of the word dies while I used the "happy easter" to cut out of white cardstock. I cut a few extra pieces of cardstock using the shadow word dies.

I decided to make the shadow word die stand out a little more, so I went over the die cuts with the same color to add a bit more dimension. With the white word dies on top, it pops even more!
Thank you for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed this card and the accompanying video.
