Video: Creating Custom Shimmer Sprays with Glimmer Metallic Inks
Hi everyone, Ilina here today with a video tutorial on how you can create your own custom shimmer sprays using the new Hero Arts Glimmer Metallic Inks.
For my cards today I am using three of the inks: Pewter, Gold, and Copper, but you can use any of the 8 colors you like. You can even mix two or more colors together to create new colors and shades.
To make the spray you will need: Metallic Inks, a spray bottle and rubbing alcohol or water. I like using rubbing alcohol, as it dries quicker.
Watch the video below showing you how to make your own custom shimmer sprays.
If you are having problems viewing this video, please try watching it HERE on YouTube.
To make the spray start by dropping few drops of the ink in the spray bottle and then adding alcohol or water, shake it well and you are ready to go.
Once I made my inks I used the Paper Layering Angel Wings die to cut few wings from Snow, Sunshine and Navy cardstock. I sprayed them and let them dry.
To make the cards I splattered some diluted ink onto my panels (white and navy), adhered the wings and added sentiment strips that I made using the Christmas Messages stamp set. Then I adhered them to the card base.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and hope you give this technique a go.

Great idea, not only for Christmas cards, if you put only a few drops in a mini mister and ad alcholo or water you can use it as a little touch of metallic colour mist on any project. I think it would also great for Mixed media projects in this way. Thank you so much for sharing this great inspirational idea Ilina.
