VIDEO: Cozy Fall Cardmaking featuring the September Card Kit

Channin Pelletier

Hello, everyone! It's Channin here and today I’m sharing a card I created with the September Hero Studio release!

Check out the video below to see how I constructed an adorable autumn scene with the Fall is my Favorite Stamp Set and the Treehouse Die Set from the September Card Kit of the Month. Also watch to learn how I use Hero Arts Reactive Inks to color my images. Hope you enjoy!

To create this card I first used the string die from the Fall is my Favorite coordinating dies set to dieout a blank or unstamped string out of a panel of Luxe White Watercolor Paper. I then placed the panel into a stamp positioning tool, positioned the string stamp from the Fall is my Favorite Stamp Set inside the negative space of the string diecut and then picked up the stamp with the stamp positioning tool. Next with the panel still in place, I placed the string diecut into the panel, then positioned several other stamps and then stamped onto the panel in INTENS-ified Black Ink. I then die cut a second string from the panel, again unstamped, then stamped the string image on that diecut as well and also stamped a second grouping of leaves in INTENS-ified Black Ink.

Next, I watercolored the images in with several Fruit Punch, Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, Root Beer, Green Apple and Blue Raspberry Reactive Inks. Once I finished watercoloring the images I then die cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I then die cut a tree with an opening out of Truffle cardstock with the Treehouse Die Set. Next, I die cut another tree out of Fawn cardstock but this time without an opening. I then stamped a sentiment onto the tree and then adhered the pile of leaves and the squirrel to the Truffle tree diecut. Next, I adhered the Truffle tree over the Fawn tree with foam adhesive.

I then trimmed down the sheet of Cinnamon cardstock to create an A2 panel (4.25" x 5.5") and adhered the panel to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. Next, I adhered the tree to the card front with Precision Glue. I then adhered the strings and leaves to the tree and then finished the card by adhering the remaining leaves to the card front with foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed my card and video. Thank you so much for stopping by!
