Support Ukraine Blog Hop
Hello and welcome! Today we are hopping with many of our friends from the papercraft industry to show our support for Ukraine. The hop was organized by sweet Katia, from Studio Katia. The majority of her family is from Ukraine, and the situation there has been quite overwhelming for her, as you might imagine. We want to send our love to her as well as the Ukranian people, for all they are facing. We had a previous blog hop where we announced our Support Ukraine collection, with 100% of net profits being donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross.
*** Purchase products from our Support Ukraine collection and Hero Arts will match dollar-for-dollar the donation (100% of net profits) through April 3. ***
At the end of this post you will find information about today's blog hop, but first, here is some inspiration from our team member Jayne, using some of our fundraiser products.
For my first card, I printed the beautiful Giving Sunflower digital stamp set onto Dove White cardstock and then colored the sunflower image with colored pencils. I trimmed a panel around the image but before securing the image to a Meadow card base, I cut a large tag from the panel with a Tag Infinity Die. I secured the panel to the card base and then secured the tag to the card with foam tape. I also added several printed and trimmed sentiments from the stamp set to the tag.
To create the small blue hearts and the yellow hole enforcer, I swiped Indigo and Dandelion ink across scraps of white cardstock. I die cut the trio of blue hearts with the smallest Nesting Hearts Infinity Die and the enforcer with a die from the tag die set. I secured all of the pieces to the card with Precision Glue and then finished the card with a black bow at the top of the tag.
For my second card, I started by inking clouds across a panel of white cardstock using the Clouds and Grass Scenic Stencil, Blue Hawaii ink, and an Ink Blending Brush. After securing the panel to a Meadow card base, I used the wonderful Sunflower Field HeroScape set to stamp two fields of flowers that I trimmed and pieced together to create one wider field for a horizontal card. I stamped the sunflowers with Green Apple, Forever Green, Dandelion, Tangerine, and Cup O’ Joe inks and then secured the sunflowers to the card with foam tape.
To create the sentiment strips, I embossed two messages of encouragement from the Message Strips Stamp & Cut XL set onto cardstock that I had previously inked with Indigo and Dandelion inks. After trimming the messages with one of the included dies, I secured them to the center of the card with foam tape. To finish the card, I die cut several small clouds with the Nesting Cloudy Infinity Dies and then scattered them across the sky with a pair of tiny die cut hearts.
The blue and yellow of the Ukraine flag symbolize the beauty and calm of the skies above and the joy and prosperity of wheat fields throughout the country. The national flower, the sunflower, symbolizes motherhood. To honor Ukraine, and help counter the devastation and destruction, we are donating 100% of our net profits from sales of this Support Ukraine collection. Funds will be donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross for immediate, on-the-ground help. We will continue our fundraising efforts to also support the long-term rebuilding that will be required to restore schools, roads, homes, and the spirit of the Ukrainian people.
In addition to the existing products, we've also created a digital download file. When purchased, this Giving Sunflower digital stamp set will be emailed to you as a printable PDF document. There will be two sets of the images and messages when you print it out on your printer.
Like many of you, we have a special connection to Ukraine. Our talented friend Yana Smakula, who we are all thinking about, was part of our Creative Team for many years. She is in our hearts and in our prayers. Support Yana through her blog and YouTube channel, and watch for updates from her on Instagram.
Now let's visit our friends and see what they are sharing today. Many companies are doing fundraisers to support Ukraine. Help out where you can, and do remember that every little bit, every purchase of a $3.99 digital download or donation product, contributes to making an impactful difference!

Beautiful cards! I especially love the first one where you cut into the flowers with a tag and then replaced it so that the design continues on perfectly! I need to try that technique!

Wonderful coloring; especially like the field of Sunflowers. When I worked at a plant nursery 5+ yrs ago I had Sunflowers growing near fence.
