Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #5
It's time for another Stay Crafty With Hero challenge! We're so happy to have you joining us. This week we're inspired by Jenn Shurkus and her Get Cracking on Christmas challenge! On the third Thursday of each month, Jenn shares a holiday card and inspires you to do the same. The idea is that if you make some holiday cards each month, by the December rush you'll have your stash built up and ready to go! While we are all safe at home, it's a great time to get a headstart on those Christmas cards! So that's our theme this week - Holiday Headstart.
Keep scrolling to the end of this post to find out how to share your project, but first, here's some challenge inspiration from Kelly...
If you are like me, you may be finding yourself with a little extra time in the craft room these days. So this is a great time to plan ahead and make a few holiday cards that I usually don't have time to make around Christmastime.
I've paired the Stacking Snowflakes and the Color Layering Peace stamp sets along with Reactive Inks to create my card. These snowflakes are so fun to create, each one being unique and different, just like in nature!
This would be a great card design to mass produce in your MISTI. And it just takes the basics...stamps, ink and paper!
I added some extra details with a white gel pen and enamel dots. I also used a stylus with some Reactive Inks to add little dots in some of the snowflakes. It's little details like this that really make the card feel complete.
Now it's your turn - we'd absolutely love for you to join us! We want to encourage you to actually sit down and enjoy the process of creating. We know it is a source of fun, relaxation and stress relief - something we all can use a bit more of right now. Create a new card for this challenge with the theme of HOLIDAY HEADSTART. Use the Inlinkz tool at the very bottom of this post to link up your card, and you will be entered into our drawing. We will be giving a $35 gift certificate randomly to one person who plays along! To link up your project, you need to share it publicly somewhere you can grab the link - this can be your blog, Instagram, a Flickr account - anything that allows you to have a URL or website location to link up.
We, of course, encourage you to use your favorite Hero Arts products. But any and all entries are eligible for consideration. We really care most about you bringing a little inky joy into your life. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, April 23 at 5:00pm PT to be eligible for the giveaway, and the winner will be announced when we announce our new challenge next Friday. Scroll down below the product thumbnails to find the linkup! If you share your project on social media, we'd love if you'd use the #staycraftywithhero hashtag. And be sure to visit Jenn's blog to play along with Get Cracking on Christmas at the same time!
Last week's challenge was Self Care - a big thanks to everyone who played along! Our random winner is Cynthia, who featured her very favorite things - coffee & getting inky! (A gal after my own heart, if I'm being honest.)
Congratulations Cynthia! Email us at info@heroarts.com with "Stay Crafty Challenge Winner" in the subject to claim your prize.
Here's to connection, creativity, inspiration, and kindness. ❤
