Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #11
We hope you're enjoying our Stay Crafty with Hero Challenges here on our blog. We're certainly having fun sharing them with you! It's time for our 11th challenge, and this time the theme is One Layer Cards! For this challenge, resist your urge to add layers, and just keep it simple! We can't wait to see your clean designs. We'll include all of the challenge details further down this post, but first, here's some inspiration from Channin!
Hello, friends! It’s Channin here and I’m excited to share a clean and simple card I created for this week’s challenge!! I love single layer cards but they can sometimes seem a little flat. So I chose to use the Color Layering Howling Wolf stamp set to add depth to my card with the incredible layered images!!
First, I first stamped the solid moon from the Color Layering Howling Wolf set in Sea Salt Reactive Ink onto the front of a Sand A2 Side Folded card base. I stamped it several times with this ink to make the moon more opaque. Next I partially inked up the lower right corner of the moon in Fog Reactive Ink and then stamped it to create a gradation. I then removed the stamp, positioned the next layer for the moon in my MISTI and stamped it in Wet Cement. After I had stamped this detail layer in Wet Cement, I then partially inked the lower right corner in Charcoal and stamped once more.
Next, I positioned the most solid layer for the wolf, picked it up with my MISTI and then stamped it in Pumpkin Pie. I then positioned the next layer of the wolf and stamped it in Caramel. I finished the wolf by stamping the detail layer in Cup O’ Joe.
I stamped my sentiment in INTENS-ified Black and lastly finished the card by adding a scored border which I created with my score board to narrow and somewhat ground the scene.
I hope you enjoyed my card! I can’t wait to see all your creations for this challenge!

Congratulations to the winner with her gorgeous card!! Yay!
Thank you for this challenge. OLCs are not my usual style so it was fun to try something a little different. Channin’s card is fabulous!!
