November My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #2 + Giveaway!

We are back with another look at the November My Monthly Hero release! The kit will be available on Monday, November 6th at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. We’ll be sharing ideas for using the main kit and optional add-on products all weekend long, so stay tuned for more project inspiration! Now let’s join Ilina, who is sharing another look at this fabulous kit.

Hi stampers, I hope you are enjoying the sneak peeks from the November My Monthly Hero kit. When I saw the kit, my first thought was ornaments. I know, little off tangent. But I love how they turned out. I hope you are able to see and imagine the versatility of this kit! For my project today I used the tag dies from the kit (snowflake, Christmas tree and star) and die cut two pieces each of wool felt that I purchased on Etsy and have been hoarding for years.

After I had my pieces I sewed assorted sequins from the Champagne and Frost mixes and pearl beads to decorate my ornaments. For the tree I used the actual matching stamp (stamped image) as a guide to sew the sequins. For the Snowflake and Star I did my own design.

Once I was done decorating the felt pieces I held both matching pieces of felt back to back, and sewed half way, stuffed with some filling, then finished sewing them up to close them. To finish it off I added some silver string to be able to hang them on the tree.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We'll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, November 6th, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to come back tomorrow for another look at this month's kit!

As a child where I used to live arts and crafts does where barely available. Felt was the main thing and these look exactly like ornaments we used to cut and sew to sell in bazaars for fundraisers.

What a creative use of the dies in the kit. This would make a great project to work on with children!
