Halloween Treat Packaging Ideas | Beary Sweet Halloween Week

It’s the final day of Beary Sweet Halloween Week! We’ve spent the week celebrating the new Beary Sweet Holiday Collection with Halloween inspiration, videos, an Instagram Hop and plenty of playful project ideas.

All week long, Carly Tee has been sharing creative ways to use her Beary Sweet designs, and she has one more sweet idea for us today. This time, it’s all about turning handmade projects into Halloween treats that are just as fun to give as they are to create.

From a card that holds a lollipop to adorable Bear-shaped treat holders and simple DIY candy packaging, Carly has plenty of ideas for sharing a little Halloween sweetness. Take it away, Carly!

Hi Crafty Friends! Carly here! Halloween is such a fun time to make and give treats, and I think the Beary Sweet collections are the perfect way to do it. After all, Bear from the Bear Hugs Die Set is meant to hug and hold things—including candy!

Today I’m sharing a few fun ways to turn Bear and some of my favorite Beary Sweet designs into cards, treat holders and packaging for Halloween goodies.

The easiest way to give a little sweet treat is to let Bear hold it right on a card!

Bear is sized to fit on an A2 card, but I also love letting him extend off the edge. It creates a playful look and leaves room at the top of the card for a big sentiment. For my Halloween version, I dressed up a bright pink Bear with a witch hat and gave him a lollipop to hold.

Bear’s arms make it easy to tuck in a lollipop or another small piece of Halloween candy. It’s a simple way to turn a handmade card into a card and treat all in one!

I also added a little tag around the lollipop stick using one of the curved sentiments from the Sweet Wishes Stamp & Cut. Little details like this are a fun way to bring the whole project together.

Bear can hold candy, but he can also become the treat packaging!

For an easy DIY treat holder, start with a brown paper bag and die cut two of the solid Bear layers. Adhere the two Bear shapes together around the edges to create a pocket, leaving an opening so you can fill it with candy.

Once the pocket is assembled, add the detail layer to bring Bear to life. Then dress him up for Halloween with the Bear Hugs Holiday Accessories. I added a witch hat and a jack-o’-lantern treat bucket filled with tiny die-cut sweets.

Fill the pocket with your favorite fun-sized candy—I love Reese’s Pieces and M&M’s—and you have an adorable little Halloween treat that’s ready for gifting.

You can also make your own treat packaging with just a piece of paper and a few scored lines.

I especially love using vellum because it gives you a little peek at the surprise tucked inside. Fold the vellum around your treat to create a simple pocket, then decorate the outside with die-cut candies, sentiments or other Beary Sweet details.

These little packages can be customized for all kinds of treats. Fill one with a fun-sized chocolate bar, tuck in a gift card or use it for a handful of smaller candies. A few colorful die cuts on the outside add just enough decoration while still letting the treat show through the vellum.

It’s such a quick way to turn a simple piece of candy into something that feels extra special!
