March My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #2 + Giveaway

It's time for our next countdown peek! The March My Monthly Hero kit will be available on Monday, March 2 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Now let’s join Caly, who is sharing some more gorgeous inspiration using this month's kit!

Hi, Friends! It’s Caly with you today sharing a card made using the March My Monthly Hero Kit.  This month’s kit takes on an Asian theme with a HeroScape layering set. The layers are fun and easy to align and create quick cards. I love that you can use different colors for the trees and thought I’d make my trees purple today.

I first stamped the grass with Green Hills and Field Greens ink on an A2-sized card panel. After stamping my grass, I ink-blended the sky using Soft Pool and Pool ink

Then I stamped the different elements for my scene.

Tree Trunk:  Soft Brown and Cup O’ Joe
Tree Foliage:  Soft Lilac and Grape Juice
Stone:  Wet Cement and Charcoal

After die-cutting, I arranged my scene and used some foliage stamps to stamp loose foliage flying away in the wind as well as at the base of the trees. To finish, I stamped the sentiment in the upper right hand corner using Grape Juice ink.

I hope you enjoyed this card and that you’re excited for this release!  We can’t wait to inspire you!  Be sure to check out the release blog hop on Monday.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!
