Fruit Salad

Mass production, it's not something that I gravitate towards but sometimes it's super easy to accomplish the task.

Have you looked through the Summer Catalog? The products are available at retailers and will hit the Hero Arts shop one week from today, on May 11th! Today I'm featuring the [hero_product_link sku="DI188" text="Fruit Salad Fancy Dies"].

I could easily be a fruitarian. I love fruit and I've always thought that fruit inspired projects are 'very happy'. I originally was going to cluster the four fruit dies that I cut but then thought I would whip together a card set. All the fruits have been colored with Zig Clean Color Markers. The sentiment is from the [hero_product_link sku="CL835" text="Stamp Your Own Fruit"] set. I did a bit of a watercoloring comparison on the cards.

The lemon has white fine glitter on the rind and the pale blue is Kuretake Gansai Tambi:

Next up is the strawberry and the orange. The red portion of the strawberry has been covered with the white glitter and the orange has the glitter in the center. Both of these have a Peerless Watercolor background.

My last one has a Zig Clean Color marker background. I scribbled the marker on a clear block and picked up the color with a wet paintbrush. The watermelon has the glitter on the rind.

These are a perfect 'summer is coming soon' set of cards. Although, as I'm typing up this blog post, it is supposed to hit a balmy 86 degrees in the pacific northwest.
