Hello and welcome to our first Friend Friday with Chameleon! We are honored that they’ve asked us to collaborate with them this month. Our artists will show creations each Friday this month, colored with the fabulous Chameleon pens – and over at their blog, the Chameleon design team is coloring Hero Arts images, too! What fun! And of course there are prizes involved, woohoo! Keep reading to the end of this post for more information. Now let’s join our own Mariana as she shares some amazing Chameleon-colored projects!

Markers are such a fun way to add color to your stamped images and bring them to life.  Today I am sharing two projects using Hero Arts stamps along with Chameleon markers. These markers are easy to use and with a little bit of practice you can achieve great results.

The pretty wood block stamp I used is called Antique Poinsettia, and I stamped it twice over a Snow Layering Paper panel with  Intense Black ink which is an alcohol-marker friendly ink.  To give color to these pretty flowers, I used two sets of Chameleons: Nature tones and Warm tones.  I love the different hues that you can achieve with these markers.

For the second card I chose a cute stamp set called Holiday Cheer. This set is full of cute stamps and sentiments that are just perfect to color.  I created a little scene with some of the images and their matching frame cuts.  This time, I used some colors from the Chameleons Deluxe Kit, as well as some from the Nature tones set. I kept the design of this card simple, because I wanted the colors of the Chameleon markers to stand out.

As you can see, it doesn’t really matter the style of the stamps you are using: modern, cute or traditional. You can always make them shine when you color them with these fabulous markers.

Please be sure to visit the Chameleon website for more information, videos and inspiration. Today their talented designers Monica Maldarella and Tanya Batrak are creating with Hero Arts stamps. Be sure to head over to the Chameleon blog to check out their projects, and comment for a chance to win markers as well as some Hero Arts stamps!

Do you love to color? Let us know in a comment below, and we’ll enter you for a chance to win a $25 gift card card to the Hero Arts store! We’ll have a giveaway on each Friend Friday post, and winners will be announced in January.

Well, that’s all from me today. I hope you feel inspire to grab your Chameleons and start coloring ;) Thanks for joining me!
