This giant cling stamp Vine Pattern Bold Prints is very versatile. Even though it was meant to be used with sunflowers and pumpkins, I think it makes a great background for anything! For my first card, I did indeed combine it with a pumpkin. I stamped the background in Soft Brown ink on a light orange card. Then I gathered together some dies to have some fun!
I took the fairly elegant Autumn Icons Fancy Dies, and give the pumpkin a whimsical look! I die cut the pumpkin using three different papers - light and dark orange as well as brown, and then I inlaid the pieces. The green leaf is from the Paper Layering Sunflower. I'm a sucker for the Luggage Tag Alphabet Frame Cuts, and die cut the message. Notice how I used the parentheses for the mouth? And those great colored googly eyes I found at the dollar store!
To show the background on a very different kind of card, this time I used Soft Olive on the vine as a backdrop for a sweet little watercolored bouquet. This could be a general card used for anything. I just did a quick, freehand watercolor, then added some seed beads for added texture. Get those small works of art stitched up and mounted!
I hope you have some new ideas for playing with this great background stamp. Thanks for stopping by!

I love seeing a stamp, or any other product, used to create an array of styles. Versatility is a beautiful thing! 2 different but very lovely cards. I like how you inlaid the pumpkin
