Caly Person
Hello and welcome as we begin the countdown to the release of the April My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is Monday, April 1 at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. Our Creative Team will be here for the next three days sharing ideas for using the kit. Stay tuned for more inspiration all weekend long! Now let's join Caly for a first look at the kit...
Hi, Friends! It's Caly with you today sharing a card made using the April My Monthly Hero Kit! The kit is die-focused to create an Italian scene and it can change with the different elements that are available and I hope my take on this card inspires you!
You can create your Italian scene with a variety of mediums and colors. Today, I'm focusing on a more realistic view (from what I imagine) with more neutral colors.
I've ink-blended each of my panels today. You can ink-blend after die-cutting also, but for my pieces, I ink-blended before color so the edges show no harsh ink coverage.
These are the following ink colors that I used for my card:
I hope you enjoyed my take on this Italian scene. There will be more on Monday's blog hop and I can't wait to share that with you also!
Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, April 1, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
This takes me back to our trip to Italy a few years ago! Beautiful card and the colors are gorgeous. Now I have to go pull out the scrapbook I made and take a trip down memory lane…
Such a beautiful card! I have been to Italy and it reminds me of the pretty country there!
This is a very beautiful card thst can be used for any occasion. I want this kit
I’ve never been to Italy but your card temps me to travel. I just adore the card. The water. die will be so useful.
I love day-dreaming about the places I still want to visit and this card definitely takes me to what I visualize Venice to be like and now I can make a card to match my vision, I love it!! I’m thinking this kit is going to be right up my alley (or waterway lol). Thanks Caly for sharing your beautiful card and for the inspiration! (mardy14@bellsouth.net)
