Santa is trading in his sleigh for a seriously cute set of wheels! Carissa Wiley recently joined us live to create this festive Christmas shaker card featuring the Whimsical Wheels Collection, complete with Santa behind the wheel, a car packed with presents, and plenty of snowy sparkle.

Create a Christmas Card with Whimsical Wheels
The Whimsical Wheels Collection is designed for season-spanning creativity, starting with a charming vintage car that can be dressed up for fall or Christmas. For this card, Carissa gave it the full holiday treatment using the Beep Beep Die Set and Beep Beep Holiday Extras Die Set.
Santa takes the driver's seat while a Christmas tree and colorful presents are packed into the car behind him. A layered wreath decorates the front, adding one more festive detail to Santa's very merry ride.
Carissa used a soft aqua and pink color palette for a playful retro feel, then brought in silver mirror cardstock to mimic the look of shiny chrome on the bumper, mirrors, and other car details. White glitter cardstock on the headlights adds just the right amount of extra sparkle.
Turn the Car into a Shaker Card
The large windshield is the perfect place to add a fun shaker element. Carissa used Clear Card Panels to create the window, then filled the space with snowflakes and shaker bits. With Santa peeking through the snowy windshield, it looks like he's driving straight through a flurry on his way to deliver Christmas cheer.
A Chiffon card base keeps the background soft and lets the colorful car take center stage. Along the bottom, Carissa free-hand cut a snowy drift from white glitter cardstock before layering the finished car on top.
Add the Finishing Touches
Across the front of the car, Carissa added a silver hot-foiled "Dashing through the snow" sentiment from Winter Words Letterpress + Foil & Cut. The shiny foil works beautifully with the silver mirror cardstock and helps tie all of those metallic accents together.
From the sparkling headlights and chrome-inspired details to the shaker-filled windshield, this card is packed with little touches that make it extra special.

The fun doesn't stop when the holidays are over—or even before they begin! The Whimsical Wheels Collection makes it easy to give the same car a completely different personality for autumn.
