I love the new intricate greenhouse Fancy Dies in this release so I decided to use one to make a shaker card. I used the Victorian Greenhouse Fancy Die which comes with a frame die, but when used without the frame you can die cut it from a panel of cardstock and it works great for the window of a shaker card.
There's some great new A2-sized Acetate Card Panels in this release. I adhered a piece of acetate behind the die cut window and added some foam adhesive around the edges that will keep all my shaker goodies contained. I created a card base from Arctic cardstock and placed a pile of sequins and seed beads in the middle and then adhered the window piece on top.
Next, I stamped and die cut the flowers and butterfly from the Hero Florals Tulips stamp set and colored them in using Reactive Inks. The sentiment is from the awesome new Congrats Happy Stamp + Cut. I love the small die cut words that come with this set--so dainty and perfect to combine with the coordinating messages in the set. I adhered all the pieces to the front of the card using Precision Glue and added a layer of shine over the word "happy" with our Lacquer Pen.
And now it's time to hop! We've gathered together a wonderful list of artists who are sure to inspire. And, it wouldn't be a proper launch without some prizes! We are giving away *three* $50 shopping sprees to people who comment along the hop. Comment on as many blogs as you'd like - more comments means more chances to win! Comment by Wednesday February 19th at 11:59pm Pacific, and we'll announce the winner on the Hero Arts blog. Happy hopping!
