Squeaky Clean Etched Dies Card Tutorial – Step-by-Step Scene Building Guide
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share a step-by-step tutorial with you using the Squeaky Clean Etched Dies from the Shiny New Day collection. Whilst cleaning is something a lot of us hate to do, making cards using cute die cuts is definitely something fun, and I loved putting all the die cuts together to create this scene!
I kept to a minimal colour palette today – just aqua, yellow, and white, which helps the scene not look too busy. There are other dies in the set, though, so if you like more full scenes, you can do that too!
PLEASE NOTE: The dies are shown in the photo facing upwards, so that you can see which die is cut from which cardstock. When die cutting, you need to have the cut side facing down onto the cardstock.
Place base of spray bottle, base of brush, top of flat mop, spray bottle nozzle + handle of bucket, and dusters + handle of bucket dies onto Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock and hold in place with Best Ever Craft Tape.
TIP: The Pick Up Tool is really helpful when picking up tiny die cuts. I switch between using the Pick Up Tool and Tweezers depending on the size of the die cut!
Apply glue onto the back of the top layer of sponge.
Adhere to base layer.

Adhere to base layer.
Adhere top layer of duster (cut from Classic White) onto back layer (cut from Fog).
Adhere handle on top.
Adhere rim of bucket onto base layer.
Adhere handle to bucket (cut from Waterfall).
Adhere top layer of handle (cut from Classic White).
TIP: Depending on how well-inked your ink pad is, you may need to repeat this step again to get a good impression of the sentiment. Make sure to keep the card in place in the corner of the Mini MISTI, and you will be able to stamp multiple times in the same place.
ADHERE DIE CUTS TO CARD
NOTE: The flat mop is not adhered down at this time, but it is helpful to place die cuts on the card to get an idea of where to place them before adhering.
Add foam squares onto the back of the bucket (you may need to cut some down to size using scissors).
This was such a fun card to make! Whilst using foam squares is not essential on this card, it does help to create depth in the scene, which is always helpful when layering up multiple die cuts. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope you have a wonderful day!
