Hello Spellbinders fans! This is Laurie Schmidlin back with my second guest post for this month. You can see my first Die D-Lites post here. One of the die sets that immediately caught my eye is the Sketched Blooms die set. I love these flowers, and as it is still snowing where I live they definitely add some sunshine inside my studio!
I started by creating the background for my card. I die cut enough of the Sketched Blooms dies out of black cardstock to completely cover the background layer.
For the focal image, I die cut one of the Sketched Blooms dies out of yellow and green cardstock. I trimmed the stem and adhered it under the yellow bloom. I then die cut the same flower out of white cardstock. I sponged on a couple shades of yellow ink onto the flower center before adhering to my card.
I stamped and die cut the "for you" sentiment (from the Sentiments 2 stamp and die set). I added some color using Copic Markers.
For embellishment, I added a few yellow sequins.
