Colorful Goodness with the Kaleidoscope Arch Collection

In this blog post, I will walk you through three easy cards that you can make using the Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Arch Collection. So, grab your supplies, and let's get started on this crafty adventure together!

So, first things first, let's talk about these stunning flowers press plate called the Kaleidoscope Flowers Press Plate. And to add some color to it, I've got these amazing Betterpress Inks in Cosmic Sky, Mulberry, Wild Berry, and Tuscan. Now here's the fun part - I just randomly spread these vibrant colors on the plate and let them do their thing. It's really cool seeing how they blend right there on my plate! The blue and yellow create a beautiful green, so stunning. Be sure you’re using those gorgeous Spellbinders Cotton Card Panels in the color Porcelain. Start by die-cutting a sturdy cardstock using the Kaleidoscope Arch Die Set. Next, stamp a sentiment and the beautiful floral arrangement from the Kaleidoscope Arch Stamp Set onto the die-cut pieces. To add some vibrant color, blend any bright pink ink and green ink of your choice onto the stamped images. (See photo above) Layer all elements onto your card base. I’m a huge fan of foam adhesive, so of course I use it, but you glue these pieces directly to your card. I’m a huge fan of color palettes and sharing them. Fun fact: Years ago, I used to create color palettes on my blog for the fun of it!

I've got a little secret to share with you. Sometimes, I mess up and miss a few spots on the press plate when I'm adding the ink. But guess what? It's not such a big deal! In fact, I'm going to let you in on how you can use that beautiful mistake to your advantage. So don't panic if it happens to you - let's turn those imperfections into something amazing!

In the image above, you can see that I utilized the mistakes to my advantage by using the Arch Etched Die Set and die cutting the design out to use as a focal point on the card. Creating the background is quite simple, as seen in the photo. I used the color palette from above and blended ink over the Kaleidoscope Window Stencil. While I opted for Distress Oxide inks, dye inks can also be used. To add an elegant touch, I included a Vellum piece cut with Spellbinders Fluted Classic Ovals Etched Die Set. Finish the card off with a few Spellbinders Gold Embellishments.

I have to admit, I've never been particularly fond of incorporating stitching into card designs. However, something compelled me to delve into my collection of tinsel floss and experiment with it on this particular card. To my surprise, the process was much quicker than anticipated, and the end result turned out beautifully. My inspiration came from the gold foiling on the sentiment, prompting me to pair it with the stunning gold tinsel floss. Although some of it is covered by the exquisite die-cut flowers from the Kaleidoscope Arch Etched Die Set, I believe that just a hint of the floss peeping through adds a charming touch. I am thrilled with the outcome of this card. The design is elegant, yet the process itself was remarkably fast and straightforward. Start by inking up the Kaleidoscope Flowers Press Plate with the previously mentioned Betterpress Inks, then press it onto Spellbinders Cotton Card Panel, Porcelain, using your Platinum Die Cutting Machine for a flawless result. To add some extra flair, die-cut several flowers from the Arch Etched Die Set, as well as the arch and stitching plate. A simple stitching technique using gold tinsel floss will bring it all together beautifully. Although you have the option to stamp the sentiment, I find that foiling it with Gold Glimmer Foil adds an exquisite touch. Oh, and don't forget to notice the intricate heart details in the letter M!
