Autumn Colors & Cozy Vibes with the Autumn Archive Collection
Hello crafty friends! I’m Lorena Wakefield, and I’m so excited to be back on the Spellbinders Blog as a guest designer! Today, I’m sharing a warm and whimsical trio of cards created with the Autumn Archives Collection, a delightful mix of cozy patterns, charming die cuts, BetterPress sentiments, chipboard stickers, and layered ephemera.
This collection captures everything I love about fall: rich colors, crisp leaves, and those cozy moments spent crafting indoors. Let’s take a closer look at each of my cards and how they came together:
Sending Autumn Cheer
This card is layered with playful fall icons, acorns, mushrooms, and a cheerful orange camera, all brought together with chipboard stickers. The patterned paper in the background adds a cozy, collage-like feel, while the “Sending Autumn Cheer” sentiment gives it the perfect seasonal touch. It’s a happy, nostalgic piece ideal for sending smiles.
Gather & Give Thanks
For this card, I created a soft, autumn scene with a beautifully ink-blended tree die, set against a neutral woodgrain background to evoke that cozy fall feeling. The sentiment originally read “gather & give thanks” (from the BetterPress sentiment set), but I trimmed off the “thanks” portion and replaced it with custom die-cut letters using the Autumn Alpha Die Set. I blended each letter in coordinating shades to spell out “thanks” at the bottom of the card, giving it a playful and colorful finish. It’s a sweet way to highlight gratitude with a handmade touch.
Grateful for You
The third card features a bold, graphic tree die layered over a blue sky background and framed by a plaid pattern. I love the modern, clean look mixed with traditional autumn hues. The “Grateful for You” sentiment is simple but heartfelt, making this the perfect card to send appreciation any time during the season.
Creating with the Autumn Archive Collection was such a joy! It’s full of textures, colors, and pieces that make cardmaking easy and fun, whether you love detailed die cuts or quick layouts with stickers and paper. I hope my cards inspire you to dive into these amazing fall supplies and get creative!
