GET WELL SOON
For my first card, I wanted to create a shaped card. I find that shaped cards add more interest to clean and simple cards.
To make this card:
- I took a panel of white cardstock and placed a piece of Silver Foil shiny side up on top.
- I placed the Glimmering Buttercups Glimmer Plate on top, image side down. I then temporarily adhered the plate and foil to the cardstock with Best Ever Craft Tape.
- I placed them foil plate side down onto the already heated up Glimmer Hot Foil System platform, pressed the timer button, and once heated up, ran it through my Platinum Six.
- The foil and plate were then carefully removed from the cardstock.
- I placed the coordinating stencils on top, one by one, and added ink blending to the image with purple and green dye inks and Blending Brushes.
- I cut it into an oval using Essential Stylish Ovals. I cut another from white cardstock, scored a hinge at the top, and adhered it to the back of the foiled one, to create the card base.
- I took the Curved Everyday Sentiments and foiled it with Silver Foil on white cardstock and then die cut it using the coordinating It was adhered to the card with foam tape.
- To finish, I embellished it with Dimensional Two Tone Purple Enamel Dots.
PRETTY AMAZING
My next card uses the peonies in the collection. These are so pretty!
To make this card:
- I took a panel of white cardstock and placed a piece of Champagne Foil shiny side up on top.
- I placed the Glimmering Peonies Glimmer Plate on top, image side down. I then temporarily adhered the plate and foil to the cardstock with Best Ever Craft Tape.
- I placed it on the Glimmer Hot Foil System platform and let it heat up before running through the Platinum Six.
- I carefully removed the plate and foil from the cardstock.
- I took the coordinating stencils and one by one placed them on top of the image, holding down with Best Ever Craft Tape.
- Using Blending Brushes, I blended pink, yellow, and green dye inks on top.
- The panel was adhered onto an A2-sized white card base with tape runner adhesive.
- I foiled the Making Me Smile Sentiments onto white cardstock using Champagne Foil. They were die-cut using the coordinating die and then I adhered one to the card (with two layers of cardstock for added dimension) with Bearly Art Glue.
- To finish, I embellished with Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems.
BIRTHDAY WISHES
For my last project, I wanted to show that the glimmer plates can be used on their own without the stencils. Even without adding color, they still add a lot of impact to a card!
To make the card:
- I took a panel of Lilac Blossom Cardstock and placed a piece of Silver Foil shiny side up on top.
- I placed the Glimmering Buttercups Glimmer Plate on top, image side down. I then temporarily adhered the plate and foil to the cardstock with Best Ever Craft Tape.
- I placed it on the Glimmer Hot Foil System platform and let it heat up before running through the Platinum Six.
- I carefully removed the plate and foil from the cardstock and cut the panel to 4.25” x 5.5.”.
- I added ink blending to the top of the panel, just over the image, with purple dye inks and Blending Brushes.
- I then splattered silver watercolor on top before setting it aside to dry.
- I took the Curved Everyday Sentiments and foiled it with Silver Foil onto Lilac Blossom Cardstock and then die-cut it using the coordinating die.
- Once dry, the panel was adhered to an A2-sized white card base with tape runner adhesive, and the sentiment adhered on top with foam tape.
- To finish, I embellished with Silver Mix Color Essentials Gems.
