Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog today sharing three projects using the Dancin’ Christmas Friends Collection. This fabulous collection features characters that are made so that their legs move, or dance, which is super fun!
A GIFT FOR YOU
For my first card, I am using the Dancin’ Gnome Etched Dies. This die creates a gnome that is almost 6” tall, so I opted for a mini slimline card, to get the full effect of his dancing legs!
To make this card:
Add foam square into the circle opening at the top of the legs. Do not add any to the legs.
TIP: I like to add a little anti-static powder around the sides of the foam square, so that the legs move freely and do not get caught on any residual stickiness on the side of the foam.
Remove backing off of foam squares and adhere gnome to card.
Remove Best Ever Craft Tape from the front. His legs should now move from side to side!
Since there is no foam tape behind the middle of the sentiment, the legs will still move from side to side!
MERRY CHRISTMAS
For my next project, I am using Dancin’ Douglas Etched Dies. He is a little shorter, so fits nicely on an A2-sized card (4.25” x 5.5”).
To make this card:
TIP: When embossing/debossing press plates, I like to use the following sandwich for the Platinum Six – Platform Base, Platform Top, Embossing Mat, cardstock, Press Plate (facing down), Adapter Plate D.
Adhere to A2-sized white card base with tape runner adhesive.
Place legs of tree where you want them to be in relation to his body and temporarily secure in place at the front with Best Ever Craft Tape.
Die cut out using the coordinating die and adhere to card using a foam square on either side.
To finish, add Christmas Red Stickles to the ornaments.
SENDING YOU JOY
For my last project, I am using Dancin’ Nutcracker Fitz Etched Dies. This die creates a nutcracker that is almost 6” tall, so again, I opted for a mini slimline card. I also decided not to have his legs move (I love that there are different options!).
To make this card:
This is such a fun collection! I love that their legs move and dance, I think they would put a smile on any recipients’ face! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful day!
