Winter Challenge!

Good morning to you! It's Lisa and I'm excited to share some quick and easy holiday tags, just in case you might be spending your weekend wrapping holiday presents! These tags were inspired by our current challenge at A Blog Named Hero. If you find a few spare moments I do hope you'll join us. There are prizes to win, and relaxation to be had by crafting. :)

For these tags I used just one stamp set, one background stamp, and two different dies. You could go as simple or detailed as you like, I just like to keep things clean and simple, and I needed to get these tags made! I made six tags in less than an hour. It only took me that long because I'm in need of a bit of an organization frenzy in the craft room. If you're organized, I bet you could whip these up in 30 minutes or less.

The first thing I did was cut four tag shapes using the Tag Infinity Dies. I used the second largest die and some Blush layering papers. Using a glue ink pad I stamped the Candy Stripe Bold Prints background onto the die cuts. Once I had the glue in place I sprinkled on some crushed glass glitter that I have in my stash. This stuff is old, and from Germany. It's amazing. It's sort of an antiqued platinum color, depending on the light and colors nearby it looks silver or gold.

I used stamps from Peace & Joy for both the back of the tag and the little sentiment strip on front. I used Intense Black ink on both of those, because it's awesome. I also sewed a button from my stash onto the sentiment strip before applying it to the tag, to help with my vintage look.

For this tag I used the second largest die from the 12 Point Stars Infinity Dies. I'm especially in love with this one, but I couldn't tell you why; maybe just the unexpected shape.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you'll click on over to A Blog Named Hero and join our challenge.

Love these! Especially the addition of a simple button. I have so many pretty ones and don’t know how to use them. I missed the boat on trying this for Christmas, but these will work for birthday too. Thanks for sharing.
