Video: Ways to Use the Weaving Fancy Die
Hello crafty friends! This is Mindy and I'm here today to share with you how to use the Weaving Fancy Die and different looks you can get with it.
Watch the tutorial below or HERE on the Hero Arts YouTube Channel.
You can catch all the different ideas in the YouTube video so down below I will go over the main supplies used.
The Weaving Fancy Die is not only a great way to add a fun textured look to your card but also so many color possibilities!
One of the ways I like to use it is by ink blending cardstock and die cutting the Weaving Fancy Die from that. I think this is a fun variation versus colored cardstock. The colors I used here are Paradise and Bermuda, applying the ink to Deluxe Smooth White cardstock with a blending brush.
You could leave the whole entire card front as the woven look or die cut out a shape like the Hearts Infinity Die and add this over the top to really draw the eye into the design.
I completed this card by simply adding a sentiment to the center using the Beautiful Day Bundle and Everyday Sentiment Strips stamp and die.
Another fun look is using your strips diagonally across your card front. In the video I showed what the card would look like completely filled in and down below in my card example is how it would look leaving some of the areas open.
This is another example of using an ink blended panel to do the weaving. The colors I used are Paradise, Bermuda, Lemon Yellow and Papaya (or maybe Pumpkin).
I also really love framing my cards using the Nesting Rectangles Infinity Dies. This helps give my cards a nice finished look but you can check out in the video different ways to finish off your card front.
I completed this card using the Sea Creatures Fancy Die and a small sentiment from the Everyday Sentiment Strips. I love white heat embossing the sentiments on Pitch Black cardstock to really make them pop off the card.
My last card example is another ink blended panel I created and then die cut with the Weaving Fancy Die.
The colors I used are all from the Reactive Ink line and include Taffy, Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, Key Lime Fizz, and Splash.
You get a super clean look on not only the front but also the back of the panel as well.
I completed this card with a sentiment from the Everyday Sentiment Strips and Luggage Lowercase Alphabet set.
I share a few more ideas in the video so be sure to check that out!
This is such a fun die to play with and endless possibilities! Plus, it's pretty relaxing to weave your cardstock.
