Video: Peek-a-Boo with the February My Monthly Hero Kit
Hello friends! It's Channin here and today I’m sharing a fun interactive card featuring the February 2021 My Monthly Hero Kit. In today’s video I will demonstrate how to create a peek-a-boo card and as well as color two tropical landscapes stamped with the kit!
(If you are having trouble viewing this video, please watch HERE on YouTube.)
To create this card I first trimmed Meadow cardstock down to create the front and back panels of my peek-a-boo card base. The front panel measures 4 1/4” x 8 1/4”, scored at 2 3/4” and the back panel measures 4 1/4” x 5 3/4”, scored at 5 1/4”. I then trimmed a piece of Antique Ivory cardstock down to 4 1/4” x 8 1/2”, scored at 4 1/4” to create the center for the card base. Next, I die cut a 4 1/4” circle into the front panel. I then used that panel to help me position the same circle die into the center panel.
Next, I stamped a tropical scene and a palm tree onto Antique Ivory cardstock in Cup’O Joe ink and onto Dove White cardstock in Intens-ified Black Ink. I then Copic colored the images in and die cut the palm trees out with the matching dies. Next, I die cut the two scenes out with a 2 1/2” circle. I then stamped the front panel with a leaf and a flower repeatedly in Moss ink. Next, I stamped a sentiment onto the front panel in Cup’O Joe ink and a sentiment onto the inside panel in Intens-ified Black ink.
I then assembled the peek-a-boo card base and adhered the two landscapes to the back and front panels. Next, I added a piece of Scotch tape to the scene on the back panel to allow the sliding motion of the peek-a-boo card to move fluidly. Lastly, I finished the card by adhering the palm trees to the card.
I hope you enjoyed my card and video! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Thank you for the tutorial. Such a cute card. You didn’t list the weight of the paper you used; also, do you have the dimensions for the card in a larger size, or how would I figure that out for a bigger card. Thank you
Adorable card! Can’t wait to try this! Thank you for sharing!
I’m so glad to see this post Channin, I had the notification of the post yesterday and by clicking it it gave an error message and I was scared that I couldn’t see your stunning card. Glad it was just a error because of a to early send mail.
