Video: Creating Patterned Images using Cling Stamps
Hi crafty friends! Charlene here. Today, I'm excited to share a card creation using the new Leafy Background cling stamp from Hero Arts. This stamp is perfect for creating lush, tropical backgrounds, and I'll show you how to combine it with other techniques for a unique design.
To start, I stamped the Leafy Background Cling onto an A2-sized panel of Kiwi Cardstock using Green Hills Core Ink. This created a beautiful tone-on-tone background that sets the stage for the rest of the design.
Next, I ink blended Nautical Core Ink over the panel using the Jungle Scene Stencil. The darker ink creates a fun negative effect with the tone-on-tone leaf pattern, adding depth and interest to the background.
After trimming down the panel using Rectangle Infinity Dies, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Jungle Serenity stamp set in white embossing powder and cut it out with the coordinating die. I added the sentiment to the bottom right third of the panel, creating a nice balance with the background design.
Finally, I glued the entire panel to the center of an A2-sized card panel of Dove White Cardstock, leaving a bright white border around the card. This border helps to frame the design and creates a clean, crisp finish.
The Leafy Background cling stamp is a great addition to any crafter's collection, offering endless possibilities for creating unique and eye-catching backgrounds. Try experimenting with different ink colors and techniques to unlock its full potential and add a personal touch to your cards. Happy crafting!
