Video: Interactive Hidden Message Typewriter
Good morning! Jess here with a fun interactive card using the new Typewriter Fancy Die. When you pull the paper the full message is revealed!
And I have a video for today's card that you can watch below or over at our YouTube channel HERE.
If you cannot view the video please click here to go to our YouTube channel.
To start I die-cut the Typewriter Fancy Die from white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers in shades of teal and grey. I trimmed off the top paper from the typewriter die cut to create my own message. Next I stamped the Novel Prose Bold Prints stamp onto bristol smooth cardstock with Embossing & Watermark ink and heat-embossed it with White Embossing Powder. Then I used a blending brush to blend a little Pool Party and Blue Raspberry Reactive ink around the edges of the panel.
Next I stamped my message with Intens-ified Black ink using the Luggage Tag Alpha and Hello Stamp & Cut sets onto a piece of white cardstock cut to 1 3/4" by 3 3/4". I die-cut lots of hearts from the Nesting Hearts Infinity Die set using Hero Hues Cherry cardstock. I adhered one heart to the strip of paper to complete my message and kept the rest for later. I also die-cut the 'hello' from the Hello There Stamp & Cut using the same Cherry cardstock and just trimmed off the 'there.'
To create the interactive portion of the card I cut a 2" by 1/8" inch slit on the embossed panel. Then I added a stopper to the bottom of my paper strip cut to 2 1/4" by 1/4". I adhered the stopper to the bottom of the strip and then slid the strip through the slit on the embossing panel. I used foam mounting tape to adhere the typewriter and cover the slit. Then I adhered the embossed panel to a Hero Hues Dove White Top Folding card base using foam mounting tape. The foam mounting tape just allows the slit to slide in and out easily. Finally I finished the card by adding the rest of the sentiment and the hearts.
I hope this inspires you to add some interactive elements to your cards! Thanks so much for stopping by and have an amazing day!

Sweet card! Thanks for the helpful how-to video. I especially like the tip about using a white pen to “clean up” around the typewriter keys.
