Video: Creating a See-Through Window Card

Feb 27, 2023 Michelle Short

Hello there, Michelle here and today I am creating a see-through window card using the newly released Wisteria HeroScape Bundle. You can watch the video below to see how I made the card, but I also have written instructions and photos below too.

(If you are having trouble viewing this video, please watch HERE on YouTube.)

I started off by stamping the Wisteria HeroScape flowers and leaves. I stamped them on to Deluxe Smooth White cardstock using Core Inks. I used Kiwi and Fresh Lawn for the leaves, and Orchid and Grape Juice for the flowers themselves. It was then die cut using the coordinating Frame Cuts included in the bundle.

I stamped the hummingbirds in the set using Paradise Core ink for the bottom layer and Bermuda Core ink for the top layer. They were then also die cut out using the coordinating Frame Cuts. The 'thank you' sentiment from the set was stamped with Intens-ified Black ink and also die cut out.

I took a white A2 sized card base and die cut the Elegant Window Fancy Die on to the front panel. This cut the window pieces out but left the window frame intact. I added double-sided tape to the inside of the card and adhered a sheet of Acetate on top, followed by another panel of white cardstock cut with the Elegant Window Fancy Die (to hide the acetate and adhesive).

The wisteria was adhered to the front of the card, adding foam tape just at the top. The hummingbirds were adhered using thin foam tape also. I also die cut them another time from white cardstock and adhered them to the inside to the card to hide the adhesive.

The sentiment was stacked up with another two die cuts, adhering with Precision Glue XL, for added dimension. It was then adhered to the window frame. To finish the card, I added ink blending to a panel of white cardstock using an Extra Large Blending Brush and Paradise Core ink. It was adhered to the inside of the card so that the colour peeks through the window.

I hope I have inspired you to take a look at the Wisteria HeroScape. It is such a pretty set that can be used in lots of different ways. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful day!
