Video: Combining Liquid Watercolors and Alcohol Markers
Hello crafters! It's Kelly Taylor here and I'm so excited to share this card combining mediums with you today! I used my Hero Arts Liquid Watercolors with my alcohol markers to really help the Artichoke Arrangement shine. I did use the Artichoke Arrangement Bundle for this card for added dimension.
You can watch how I did it below or on the Hero Arts YouTube channel.
I stamped the image in Intense Black ink on our Luxe White Watercolor Cardstock. I sprayed the paper with clean water and then laid down a soft watercolor background over my image using Moss, Dark Teal, Mulled Wine, and Dandelion Liquid Watercolors.
Once the background was dry I went in and colored the image using various techniques including stippling and color glazing. When I finished coloring the image I die cut it out. I adhered the negative piece of background flat to an Eggplant cardstock card front using Precision Glue. I then popped up the arrangement on foam and adhered it right back into the background.
For the sentiment I stamped using our Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink on some Eggplant cardstock before heat embossing with White Detail Embossing Powder. Lastly, I wanted to add some shine so I painted our White Iridescent Shimmer Mist in specific areas.
Thank you so much for joining me today!
