Video: Color Layering Tiger Lily Cards | Color Layering With Yana Series
Hello Hero Arts fans! Welcome back for another episode of the Color Layering video series!
In this video & episode I am taking a closer look at a new Color Layering Tiger Lily stamp set. I have several cards to share and of course a few different color combos to explore.
Watch the video tutorial below to learn how I made the cards I'm sharing today.

The Color Layering Tiger Lily flower has 3 layers, it is large in size and thus easy to align. I explored several color combinations and used some of my stamped images to make cards.
The colors I used are:
- Soft Pink, Pink Madder, Mulled Wine
- Soft Apricot, Tangerine, Cup O' Joe. I later replaced Cup O' Joe with Copper embossing powder
- Soft Vanilla, Butter Bar, Gold embossing powder
- Pale tomato, Crimson, Raspberry Jam. I later replaced Raspberry Jam with White Detail embossing powder.
- Soft Purple, Orchid, Grape Juice.
Let's take a look at the cards I made using these flowers. First up is a Congratulations card featuring Pink & Yellow lilies.
I used Abstract Waves stencil and Gold Glimmer paste to create a partial gold background for this card. I foam mounted lilies coming in from the corners and trimmed my background panel to 4 x 5 1/4". I used a black card base for this card to help frame the floral clusters and tie everything together.
My sentiment was Gold heat embossed onto black cardstock and foam mounted onto the card. Lastly, I used Champagne sequins to embellish this card.
Next up is a very simple Thinking of You card featuring purple lilies. Not everybody is a fan of this color, but I personally love all things purple!
I used my favorite White Woodgrain cardstock from Hero Arts for the background and foam mounted 3 purple flowers creating a simple cluster.
I added a white heat embossed sentiment that reads "Thinking of You", tied some gray & white twine and embellished this card with purple and gold sequins.
My last card for today features red lilies with white heat embossing. I love how much detail and contrast I was able to get by simply replacing the top layer with embossing powder.
I used another all-time favorite stencil of mine - Deco Pattern and Embellishment Mousse in Mother Of Pearl color along with kraft paper to create a background for this card.
I also went with a 3D Decoupage technique for this card - if you look closely you'll be able to spot a lot of dimension on my main flower. I was able to achieve this by stamping 3 identical flowers and using just a portion of each layer. Be sure to watch my video tutorial for detailed explanation.
Have fun stamping!
