Video: Valentine's Day Card with Embossing Paste Background
May Park
Have you checked out my Valentine's Day card that I created using the Window On Love Confetti Fancy Die for January 2018 My Monthly Hero blog hop? This time I wanted to use the die as my stencil to create another Valentine's Day card.
After applying some embossing paste over my paper stencil, I heat embossed the stenciled background using gold embossing powder.
I stamped the images from the Love Birds Stamp & Cut with Intense Black ink, colored them with Copic markers, and die cut them with coordinating dies from the Love Birds Stamp & Cut.
I stamped the sentiment from the Love Birds Stamp & Cut with embossing ink on a piece of black cardstock, heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed my sentiment into a thin banner using a kraft knife and ruler.
I finished off my card by mounting my die cut images and the sentiment banner on the card front using 3M foam tape to give some dimension.
I made a video tutorial to show you how to make a card from start to finish. You can watch it above or in HD on YouTube.
That's all for today. Thank you for stopping by. Happy crafting!

Sooooo pretty May! I love the color and dimension of the background, I definitely have to try that. We all learn from each others mistakes, thanks for leaving it in. TFS
I like it when you leave the mistakes in as then we don’t make the same ones. The card is really cute and thanks for sharing with us!
Beautiful card, love these sweet birds and the gold embossing paste background.
WOW!!! The look of the embossed stencil paste is absolutely amazing…TFS this great idea…

Wow!!! I am so trying this tomorrow when I have time to craft. Thank you so much for showing us your technique (even the first one). I am completely blown away by both cards!
