Video: Valentine's Day Card with Embossing Paste Background
Have you checked out my Valentine's Day card that I created using the Window On Love Confetti Fancy Die for January 2018 My Monthly Hero blog hop? This time I wanted to use the die as my stencil to create another Valentine's Day card.
After applying some embossing paste over my paper stencil, I heat embossed the stenciled background using gold embossing powder.
I stamped the images from the Love Birds Stamp & Cut with Intense Black ink, colored them with Copic markers, and die cut them with coordinating dies from the Love Birds Stamp & Cut.
I stamped the sentiment from the Love Birds Stamp & Cut with embossing ink on a piece of black cardstock, heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed my sentiment into a thin banner using a kraft knife and ruler.
I finished off my card by mounting my die cut images and the sentiment banner on the card front using 3M foam tape to give some dimension.
I made a video tutorial to show you how to make a card from start to finish. You can watch it above or in HD on YouTube.
That's all for today. Thank you for stopping by. Happy crafting!
How unique! I’m definitely going to try this technique!
I love your card, those beautiful birds are awesome. Thank you for sharing your mistakes its good to see what works and what doesn’t! I do think the last gold embossing technique you shared really achieved a stunning effect I am inspired to try this out myself. Thanks for the inspiration x
