Ugly Christmas Sweaters Galore!

Hello! I'm here today to share something a little bit different. Since I am chairing an annual Christmas Tree Boutique for MS here in California, I have been hunting around for new ideas all year. A bell went off when someone was talking about ugly Christmas sweaters! I hunted through my dies and found the matching Frame Cuts from the Ooh La La stamp set, which includes a t-shirt die! It was the closest I could come for making sweater ornaments for my little tree.

I dug into my stack of felt, then cut two pieces and stitched them together. Then the fun begins! How many buttons, charms, beads, etc do YOU have? I betcha I have more! I just had so much fun creating that I couldn’t stop. I used dies to decorate some of the shirts as well, including Santa Frame Cuts as well as the smaller Infinity Dies (hearts, circles, trees).

To hang these on my little tree, I made some hangers from our Hipster Icon Dies as well as some others from paper clips (search YouTube and you'll find instructions for how to make them). Our little clothes pins worked great, too!

And I didn't end the shirt making there - I made a card for turkey day with the "let's get stuffed" message from our Off-Beat Holiday Messages set. I was laughing all afternoon. Think about this concept. This can be used ALL YEAR for kids birthdays (number dies), monogram notes (alphabet dies), holidays - all with our thousands of dies. So, I hope I have inspired you to craft a little something other than cards! Put a pin on it and wear it on top of your ugly sweater!!
